Transition from screen to sun - the perfect 2-in-1. Clear-lensed blue light protection for when you’re internet shopping instead of working. Then step outside, and these magic lenses transform into slick, colourful shades. Definitely not like the ones your grandfather wore.
All of our Transition lenses come with the following coatings and filters as standard.
Just like our regular blue light lenses, our transition lenses are also engrained with a blue light filtering pigment - blocking over 55% of blue wavelengths.
Our transition lenses change from light to dark when exposed to daylight. Regular blue light glasses when you're indoors, then straight to sunnies when you step outside.
Our lenses come with UV-A and UV-B filters which block 100% of UV rays from the sun, so you can concentrate on important things... like your pineapple margarita.
Take your mind back to maths class. This graph show the amount of UV and blue light blocked by our Transition lenses. The red line represents the unactivated lens (indoors), while the white line shows their power when activated (outdoors).
For those Einsteins out there that can figure it out, well done to you. For everyone else, the easiest way to understand is to look at the blue light range. Our lenses block all the light to the left and above the lines. Eureka.
"At night, light throws the body's biological clock—the circadian rhythm—out of whack. Sleep suffers. Worse, research shows that it may contribute to the causation of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity" Read more
"Blue light from digital devices and the sun transforms vital molecules in the eye's retina into cell killers. We are being exposed to blue light continuously, and the eye's cornea and lens cannot block or reflect it." Read more
"The spread of tablets and smartphones has undermined our relationship with the night. Light-sensitive cells in the back of the eye are particularly sensitive to blue light, which predominate in electronic screens." - Read more
