Our orange-tinted Ultra lenses block over 90% of blue light, targeting the range that affects melatonin production. Specifically designed to help you reach a deeper level of slumber. Pop them on a few hours before bedtime, and we promise you the deepest, most-refreshing sleep. Except for the last time you drank 15 shots.
All of the lenses from our Ultra Range come with the following coatings and filters as standard.
Engrained with a strong blue light filtering pigment. Blocking over 90% of blue wavelengths, these are the perfect choice for serious screen users.
Our Ultra lenses are polarised as standard. Complete elimination of glare helps to give your vision sharpness and accuracy.
We know how annoying scratched lenses can be, so we also include a scratch resistant coating on all of our lenses for a little added protection.
Did you pay attention in geometry? This graph show the amount of UV and blue light blocked by our Ultra lenses. Important to note that melatonin levels are affected by wavelengths between 440nm and 500nm. You can see from the graph that the Ultra lenses block the vast majority of these wavelengths.
For those Einsteins out there that can figure it out, well done to you. For everyone else, the easiest way to understand is to look at the blue light range. Our lenses block all the light to the left and above the line. Eureka.
"At night, light throws the body's biological clock—the circadian rhythm—out of whack. Sleep suffers. Worse, research shows that it may contribute to the causation of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity" - Read more
"The spread of tablets and smartphones has undermined our relationship with the night. Light-sensitive cells in the back of the eye are particularly sensitive to blue light, which predominate in electronic screens." - Read more
"The light emitted by most screens is blue light that damages the body's cycles and our sleep. The solution must be the use of the existing filters that prevent the emission of this light." - Read more
